New Camp - Same Heart
Camp Hallawasa is a Christ centered summer camp experience for children in grades 3 through 12. In 2021, for the first time since its inception nearly 50 years ago Hallawasa held camp on its own, permanent property!
Through the years many locations have hosted Hallawasa summer camps, but now we have a place to call our own. Yet, in all those years and varied locales the heart and purpose of Hallawasa has remained the same. The focus of Hallawasa is relationships. Our core value is to help kids connect with God, nature and one another.
Daily Bible lessons provide age appropriate teachings to help campers gain a solid understanding of God’s love for them and their value in His eyes.
The remote setting of Hallawasa encourages every camper to disconnect from our plugged in society so they can slow down and enjoy God’s amazing creation. Without ‘screen time’ they are able to interact and build meaningful relationships with fellow campers as well as the counselors and staff.
Campers will pray and play, learn and laugh and eat great home-cooked meals. Most of all, they will walk away from a week of camp knowing they are loved by the infinite Creator of the universe, and loved by staff and fellow campers.
